Press Release

Higher Performance, Lower Costs!

Oct. 26, 2021

8μm Thermal Imaging lenses was launched by Sunny Infrared Optics

In 2008, sunny infrared optics successfully developed a 25μm thermal imaging lens.

In 2011, 17μm thermal imaging lens was developed successfully.

In 2018, 12μm thermal imaging lens was developed successfully.

In 2021, 8μm thermal imaging lens was released for the first time.

The advancement of uncooled thermal imaging technology makes it widely used in more and more emerging fields. Ultra-large area array, ultra-small pixel pitch, and ultra-high resolution are increasingly becoming the mainstream.

8μm Thermal Imaging lenses was launched by Sunny Infrared Optics

In August 2021, sunny infrared optics successfully developed 8μm thermal imaging lenses after three months of research, and solved the problem of higher cutoff frequency and MTF enhancement difficulties caused by the reduction of pixels.

Compared with 12μm thermal imaging lenses, this series of products can achieve a smaller focal length at the same field of view, thus reducing development costs.

Most importantly, with the new generation of VGA/XGA uncooled detector, the 8μm pixel spacing brings clearer image quality.

● Compact design, wide aperture, high-performance of relative illumination

● Diffraction-limited optical design

● Superb image resolution

● Not affected by extreme environment

● Ideal for full range of applications
